Kid’s Room

In this Dumbo apartment, an existing home office was reimagined into a joyful, functional bedroom for a 3-year-old girl. The design blends playfulness with practicality, creating distinct zones for reading, playing, and resting, while ensuring ample storage for toys, books, and clothing.

Custom-built millwork integrates open shelving, display nooks, and drawers, encouraging organization and independence. A child-sized table and chairs provide a dedicated creative space, while soft rugs and tactile accessories—like a daisy floor cushion and woven hampers—add comfort and whimsy.

Natural wood finishes, cheerful pastels, and nature-inspired patterns make the room warm and inviting, while maintaining a timeless backdrop that can grow with her over the years. The result is a safe, imaginative, and adaptable environment designed to nurture both creativity and calm.
